Acid for Blood – ยป The Ataris Lead Singer Sells NES Collection, etc. for Rent Money
So I found this over on Acid For Blood and almost choked on my breakfast diet soda.
One, that’s a super sweet NES collection. Excitebike! Contra? Did anyone see Contra on there?
Two, I can’t believe the lead singer of The Ataris, one of my favorite bands in the whole world, is selling off his stuff to pay his rent. I love the Ataris! And, as I’ve stated previously, I’m really the only one who matters to me, so if I love The Ataris, doesn’t everyone else?
Three, as was pointed out in the link above, the original handwritten lyrics to “In This Diary” are going for more than “San Dimas High School Football Rules”… that’s got to be some kind of a joke. “San Dimas” is the best part of every Ataris show, ever. Not that “In This Diary” is a bad song, and I guess it’s kind of their “breakout” hit, but REALLY, people. Really!
